Today we only had a small amount of repairs left on our bridge. We tested our bridge with weights and took a video of it. Again, its final weight was 96g. It held 1000g then 1200g. When we attempted to put 1500g on it it broke. This is satisfactory for our first bridge and we hope to make a better one for our second. Now with the rest of class we are creating a new design for our second bridge which will hopefully be better than the first.

Our first bridge only held up 1200g so now we are going to try to make a stronger bridge. Today we have been thinking of new designs and came up with one that might work. Our main problem with our first bridge was that the spagetti noodles that were supposed to help support the weight but they were all above the lasagna. When the weight was put on the bridge it snapped all of the "support" and the lasagna was left to fend for itself. This time with our second design we will be sure to put support on the underside instead of on top.

Today we have begun glueing spagetti and creating our new design. This second bridge will hopfully be even better than the first, and we are planning to make it just as lightweight as our previous design. Basically, a sturdy but light design is our goal to try and get the best ratio of the weight of the bridge comparing to how much it could hold.

Today we continued the start of the first side of our new bridge. It has been taking a little big longer getting used to our new design but it is doing well. Here is a picture of the start of most of the first side of our new bridge. We are going for more of a square bridge this time instead of a curve.
